关于此套币:
I'm attempting to put a set of $1 gold in PCGS 65 or better .. If PCGS has graded a coin at the highest level of 64 I will attempt to include it in my collection. I will not collect a coin below pcgs 64. $1 Gold is a very difficult series to complete! I'm focusing on the very best of each date and mintmark. I was lucky to be able to have purchased the 1854-S pcgs 65+ ex. Pittman from 10/97 Akers sale! It's a coin David Akers always told me if I ever got an opportunity to buy, to do so! It's original, great skin with a golden color and a full strike! David Akers had been my mentor on rare coins for the past thirty years. With David's passing, Doug Winter will assume the mentoring role. It should be noted that 54 out of 54 of the coins in my $1G set are CAC'ed!! 5/1/15 : I WANT TO ANNOUNCE THAT MY $1G SET WILL BE SOLD UNRESERVED AT THE HERITAGE ANA SALE IN CHICAGO THIS AUGUST

Wonderful set! I am happy to see that you agree with me in that you agree that most if not all coins in a top set should be at the top send of the grade scale and therefore will have the CAC sticker. Amazing job!

Steve has done it again! A set second to none! This will become the reference for all future sets. The 1$G series is harder to put together at this gem level this first appears. Just look at those pops! well done!
