1871-CC $1 AU50 PCGS #6967

Legend Auctions - The Regency Auction XII June 2015 - Lot 72 We really like this coin for an AU50. Our counterparts have handled the 1871-CC MS64 in the Legend Collection and they know the condition these tend to come in. We think this coin may have had a light cleaning long ago, but it is has come back very nicely. The surfaces are clean and show faint traces of semi-prooflike mirrors. A deep pewter/champagne color evenly covers both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are very well struck. The wear is light and even and for an 1871-CC this piece displays really nice eye appeal! Legend Auctions - The Regency Auction X December 2014 - Lot 213 This coin is way above average for an AU 1871-CC, and we disagree with CAC’s decision not to sticker it. This piece looks like it was cleaned ever so slightly at some point, but we have seen very few AU pieces that have deviated from this look. Clean, smooth surfaces show hints of semi-prooflike mirrors and even some luster. A light to moderate mix of pewter/gold/pale purple evenly covers the surfaces. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and stand out nicely. The eye appeal is good! Heritage Auctions - 2013 June 5 - 9 US Coin Signature Auction - Long Beach #1186 - Lot 4618 This attractive AU specimen is well-detailed, with minimal traces of wear and only minor abrasions. The surfaces are lightly toned in a mottled pattern of champagne-gold and lavender-gray hues. High-grade specimens are seldom available and this coin should find a home in a fine collection of Seated dollars. Census: 2 in 50, 19 finer (4/13) Ex. NGC 3418595-003

'1855' $50 Kellogg - Original Dies Restrike S.S. Central America PR68DCAM PCGS #812033

One of seven stuck in 2001 using the original 1855 Kellogg $50 dies. Numerous die cracks can be seen which match the original coins. Purchased as bullion. I was able to determine the true history of the coin. It's as close as I will ever come to owning an 1855 $50! If it weren't a restrike, it would be a million dollar coin.
