关于此套币: I'm starting this set with the first Elizabeth II Maundy set I've acquired. Though not world class grades, I was surprised that they were all top pops for the year, 1954. There's something about the coinage since George VI. It's hard to find a brilliant example that clearly stands out. The monarch's images are always weak as compared to their predecessors. This set starts with my 1954 set, but will over time, be replaced by better examples as they are acquired. Start Date: 13 Jun 2016. Update: 24 Aug 2017 - Well, as I look over the set, I notice I apparently missed the fact that in March I acquired the 1986 Maundy set of stunning coins that replaced all of 1954 issues. With the acquisition of the 1953 set, I chose to replace the 4 pence with the 1953 of the same grade.
