关于此套币: One of the early coins in my collection. I've considered beginning this set, but have put off until now. Not an active set at the moment, but when one considers that this series of coin was circulated more than the higher denominations, it should not pose too great a task at completing it. Now, due to circulation, it will be much harder to find higher grades. I think I will start with a goal of finding the highest graded yet circulated issues. Should also keep the budget at a modest level. I start this series with the 1676 I submitted back in 2004. I bought it due to the novelty of it being 100 years before we declared our Independence. Sep 2008: Small denominations of Charles II are proving harder to find in any grade, certified or raw. In Nov 2007, I found several and had them certified in May of this year. Since I bought the lot, three additional dates had problems. Two were cleaned at some point, and one had been dented. Detail seems to remain F-VF for most issues. Have decided to attempt to complete the set in the best grades F or better.
