Self Submitted. May 2009. Rayner rated as Common. A beautiful strike with golden toning. Lettering is sharp with the exception of the "i" in GRATIA. It appears to have the bottom half raised with the upper half recessed into the planchet. Reverse I noted a larger space between the "I" and "B" of HIB.

From J & M Gold-N-Silver. A brilliant obverse portrait with even golden-brown toning. Reverse image is weaker with similar toning. Deformed lettering throughout the legend. Typical of the early milled period.
A nice tuppence of Charles II. The obverse shows a copper-to-grey toning, with the lighter areas showing wear. The reverse is a deep copper-brown with hints of an aged rainbow toning still showing. The lettering suggests the die was rusting while showing the same garbled lettering that the milled process is well-known for.
