This is the young queen I saw waving from her carriage at her Coronation Parade in 1953.

I swear I saw her blow me a kiss-just before I
got snapped off the conga line and into the Trafalgar Square fountain.

By the time I slogged my way out she was gone but looking back over her shoulder with tears in her eyes.

Just that close friends, just that close.

Ever notice her misty eyes at about the same time on each anniversary of her Coronation Parade?
