Burns Collection

关于此套币: This collection is the product of a long search for only the very best coins available. It is an enjoyable set as there are no easy coins, yet no killers either.

I am still struggling a bit with the 1908 and 1919 slots. I have found it tough to improve on the 1908, but this should resolve itself as there are better coins out there; I just need them to come out of the woodwork. The 1919 coin is a bit of a puzzle to me. It is not any scarcer than some of the other dates ... in fact, it comes up so often at auction I daresay it could be considered a "money" coin. But it has somehow acquired a reputation for being rarer and more valuable than the others, in much the same way as Fonzie gained a reputation as a tough guy when he beat up some pipsqueak long ago. When sale prices finally reconcile with the ready availability of this coin (the pop number in MS64 is 12 and counting), I will happily upgrade my 1919.
