A beautiful example of a stunningly ugly woman. May Lady Liberty never fall to such artistic failure again! :-) The gold of an incredible time. A time when words like “nugget” would instil such hope in a man he would trek across an entire country to find a mountain range. Those treacherous journeys may or may not have produced a small shimmering “vein” to follow. One that would lead to much more gold than this and the eventual evolution into a coin we collect. Or, maybe just a pretty Token of what the west was… and, though of much more lowly origin, still a beautiful little collector’s item!
