My First Gold Coin!! I like this coin because this is one of those Y2K relics. In 1999 people where buying lots of gold and silver because of the Y2K scare. The demand was so high because of this factor, so the mint kept up with the demand causing a mintage of 2.75 million to be minted.
First proof gold coin, and now my lowest mintage coin in my collection. This coin has a mintage of 15,636 which is the lowest of the 5 dollar proof eagles!!
These coins were really neat additions to the collection. They were cheap but I assume they will increase in value.
