Thought it might go for a higher grade than it did, Beautiful condition. Hmmm. Also, don't know why this picture doesn't show up in CoinFacts.

1890 Medal HK-617c White Metal Allegheny City Semi Centennial N1 PCGS #643087

This one is holed because it was on a hanger. PCGS will not recognize most holed medals as legit. I argue that as in the H&K book (2008, 2nd edition, pg.6) stipulation number 4, "No holed or looped material 'UNLESS STRUCK PLAIN ALSO'." Well, these were struck originally unholed. Some maybe were preserved in sets and sold or given away that way. Others, perhaps "holed" and put on hangers to be worn on the days of the events. I have many this way. One day, I am hopeful and predict, PCGS will recognize this as the other 2 major graders have, for the most part. .... This one may go to be submitted to another service for acceptance. I do have one already slabbed (not PCGS) *** MS63 DPL , it has a hole in it.
