2009 marks the Centennial of the Cent. This collection pays tribute the Introduction of the Lincoln Cent, and the passing of the Indian.
The first and last year of a design change in coinage is abundantly saved, in most cases. While the supply of bright coins may be large, in these high grades the situation is different. These business strikes ran through hoppers, were spit out like bullets into a can and tossed around in bags. In the case of these coins...they managed to get through all this with hardly a mark. For a century they have been carefully preserved, through world wars, the great depression and untold owners.
