The Colours of Mexico!
描述:
Mexican coinage is beautiful, and when toned, they achieve a different level! Gold (like the amazing half escudo from 1818), bronze (ranging from red-brown to chocolate or even purple), silver (with champagne or blue tones)... all metals can tone beautifully and as such, this showcase is made, to share the allure of numismatics.
Coins are listed in chronological order in an attempt to explain the evolution of the coinage.
Selecting only 20 coins from the collection was a really difficult task. I hope you will agree with me that these 20 are worthy contenders for some of the most amazing naturally toned cons. These are not Morgan dollars that spent half a century inside a vault. These are coins that saw circulation and eventually a good soul saved them for us, the future generations. As such, the tone they developed is what one would expect to see after the pieces were around in the markets, fulfilling their mission.
Please enjoy and let me know your comments! Thank you very much for stopping by!
