George III gold Proof 1/2 Sovereign 1817 PR64 Deep Cameo PCGS, Royal mint, KM673, S-3786, WR-204. Ex. Jacob Y. Terner Collection. A stunning specimen, with deep red toning along the edges. One of just nine proof examples of this date seen by both NGC and PCGS, with this ranking among the finest of them, as there have been just two PR65s graded in total. A couple of minor hairlines in the fields, but most marks seen are actually just die polishing lines. From the RichLyn Collection

Victoria gold Proof 1/2 Sovereign 1887 PR66 Ultra Cameo NGC, KM766, S-3869, W&R-362. A thoroughly outstanding representative of this scarce Proof, entirely meriting of its gem ultra cameo status--the fields appearing nearly jet-black from all angles with a pronounced silhouette matte frost atop the devices. A lovely gem, with simply magnificent watery surfaces and a fantastic cameo effect against the chiseled and heavily frosted devices. Seldom seen at this elite level of preservation, this is an all-around great coin that we suspect will find itself in the collection of a true connoisseur. Ranking very near the peak of certified specimens, we note that only two PR67's have been certified to-date. Ex. Murdoch Collection (Sotheby's April 1903, Lot 495 [part])

Victoria gold Proof Sovereign 1893 PR66 Deep Cameo PCGS, KM785, S-3874, W&R-341. A highly popular type representing the final major bust design in the long-running Victorian sovereign series, this superb Proof representative takes conditional preservation to the near-peak of what has been seen for the issue. Serving as potent mirrors, the fields abound with deep reflectivity, while both Victoria's portrait and the reverse St. George motif rise in high profile and shine by virtue of the heavy golden frost which graces their features. Quite impressive in this technical caliber, and among the best we have had the privilege to offer.
