1972 1C Doubled Die Obverse MS66RD PCGS #2950

I have vigilantly searched all my change for the last 60 years (I am 69yo) looking for valuable coins. In addition, I was responsible for reconciling the cash register tills at my pharmacy workplace for 30 years and kept an eye out there also. I found lots of silver, buffalo nickels, and thousands of wheat cents, including all dates and mint marks except the 1909S vdb. The most valuable coin I have found, though, is this 1972 DDO Lincoln cent.. I remember clearly something catching my eye and I gave the coin a close look. I sent it to PCGS a few years ago for grading and was quite happy with the MS66RD grade. Current value is $1250. Not too shabby!

1938-D 1C MS66RD PCGS #2671

I found this coin in the till of a cash register drawer. There were many wheat cents in the till, but none the quality of this one. Also in the till that day was a roll of Mercury Dimes--nothing good, just junk silver, but still a great find!
