1881-S $1 MS68+ PCGS #7130

Acquired from my good friend the late Mike DeFalco. This amazing Morgan is the finest toned Morgan I have ever seen. Taking into account the combination of pristine surfaces and the absolute stunning, lustrous, and totally clear, rim to rim color. This Morgan Dollar had been known for many years as "The Killer Tomato" and the color fits it to a tee. So with that said and it`s former history I decided to keep it the same name that so many people know it as......

1881-S $1 MS68+ PCGS #7130

This amazing Morgan Dollar is know as "The Moose". Chances are if you have been to any major coin shows you have seen posters of this very popular coin. I acquired it at the 2014 Sunnywood / Simpson Auction in Vegas that Legend Rare Coin Auctions put on. There were amazing Morgans in that sale as a complete date set that was put together over many years. I was ecstatic to be the new caretaker of such an amazing coin. PCGS featured "The Moose" with Legend Rare Coin Auctions sponsoring this piece as the November coin in the PCGS 2015 calendar. It has been a great honor for me.....

1882-S $1 MS68+ PCGS #7140

This tied for top pop 1882-S Godzilla of a Morgan Dollar which the colors remind me of those little fish I used to have when I was a kid. Hence the name "Neon Tetra" which actually came to me in a lucky second chance. The first time I saw this coin was at a Legend Rare Coin Auction and was in the very first Northern Lights Sale. A series of toned Morgan Dollar auctions that were put on by Legend in Vegas in conjunction with the PCGS Invitational members only shows. I ended up being an under bidder. Go forward a couple of years and one day during the California Long Beach show that I was unable to attend that year, I get a phone call from a coin dealer friend of mine saying that he just saw an awesome toned 1882-S Morgan Dollar at a dealers table. So I asked if he could send me a picture and sure enough it`s the same Morgan and the rest is history! PCGS again with the sponsor Legend Rare Coins for the month of June 2017 featured this piece in their calendar. Another super honor it has been.....

1881-S $1 MS68+ PCGS #7130

Another Morgan Dollar I acquired from my friend the late Mike DeFalco. This piece is such a stunner with pristine surfaces and such beautiful colors. The way that the colors make an arc coming down across Liberty`s forehead and continuing down, give it a perfect rainbow effect. Hence the name "Perfect Rainbow".....

1881-S $1 MS68+ PCGS #7130

Another Morgan Dollar I acquired from my friend the late Mike DeFalco. This was my very first mint state 68 Morgan. It was originally in a MS68 Star holder. There were no plus grades back then and some years later I sent it into PCGS for a crossover and it came back in PCGS MS68+ holder. It appears to have been positioned in the mint bag near the seam as the center band of color along with a textile pattern and within that area what appears to be the actual stitches, (blue, pink and gold) impression-ed in color in a central arc across the coin. That along with the pristine surfaces and rim to rim color, we gave it the name "Stitched Perfection". Mike once told me at that time, it was technically the finest toned Morgan Dollar he had ever handled.....

1882-S $1 MS68 PCGS #7140

This wonderful Morgan Dollar is another coin from my friend the late Mike DeFalco. It`s beautifully banded and lustrous Rainbow is very similar to The Moose in it`s appearance, except with a distinctive Purple color as seen in hand. The rim to rim multi colors flow together with very smooth and pleasing transitions. A great character coin we call it "The Purple Moose".....

1881-S $1 MS68 PCGS #7130

This Morgan Dollar is from a very good friend of mine and a true Gentlemen by the name of Dale Larsen. He has worked in the coin industry for many years. I first met Dale officially back in 2012 and we became friends prior due to our mutual friendship with the late Mike DeFalco. Back in 2012 I had met with Dale at a Florida FUN show where he brought his box of around 25 Morgan Dollars for me to have a look at. Each coin were full blown toned Monsters and it was amazing to see his wonderful personal collection. At the time Dale wasn`t interested in letting his Morgan`s go but told me he would keep it in mind that I was interested in them, and if and when the time came that he would part with them. Well roughly three years ago the time came and we struck a deal. The piece pictured here, in my opinion was one of the best out of his set, considering a combination of overall look, grade and color. We named it "Crimson and Clover".....

1881-S $1 MS68 PCGS #7130

Acquired from a good friend of mine, Tom Turissini a top collector of copper coins gave me an amazing opportunity and opened up his private collection of toned Morgan Dollars to me some years ago, simply because he knew I had a love for beautifully toned Morgan Dollars. This beautiful former Bryan Sonnier Morgan has everything I like. Rim to rim multi color with blazing luster the pristine surfaces just glow. The pure smooth and flowing color is why we have named this piece "Purity".....

1881-S $1 MS67+ PCGS #7130

Another former Bryan Sonnier Morgan Dollar that ended up in Tom Turissini`s personal collection... This amazing Morgan is about as beautiful as a Morgan Dollar comes. Not surprising of Tom to have amazing coins with his great eye for super quality. The superb crystal clear rich color is rim to rim with extraordinary dripping luster. One of my personal favorites we came up with the name that we believe fits it very well. "Oracle".....

1879-S $1 MS67+ PCGS #7092

This Morgan Dollar is another coin acquired from the Northern Lights sales that Legend Rare Coin Auctions in conjunction with the PCGS`s Invitational and members only show. "Pizzazz" is a beautiful rim to rim toned Morgan with exceptional eye appeal and such a great character coin with the great vivid textile toning extending up Liberty`s neck and exceptionally clean cheek. Lustrous pristine surfaces with intense clear color make it an exceptional quality coin.....

1881-S $1 MS67 PCGS #7130

This Morgan Dollar we came up with the name at the very first glance "Mother Nature". Another coin from a private collector, the late Lloyd Cowle. At one time Lloyd had compiled an amazing group of Morgans. He had a great eye for the best of the best and this piece is definitely one of those. I was extremely happy to have acquired this piece when I did with all the very bright, beautiful, and rim to rim colors.....

1881-S $1 MS67 PCGS #7130

This Morgan Dollar which we named "Tutti Fruitti" I acquired in the very last Northern Lights auction that Legend Rare Coin Auctions put on in Vegas in conjunction with PCGS`s Invitational members only show. This beautiful Morgan in my opinion was one of the very finest pieces in the entire sale of the five different auctions. The rim to rim, multi colors with the exceptional luster and eye appeal made this piece a true stand out coin.....

1885 $1 MS67 PCGS #7158

Another fabulous Morgan Dollar from my friend the late Mike DeFalco. Mike had a knack for always coming up with amazing toned Morgans, and It wasn`t just luck. He knew where many great toned Morgans lived as he dealt with other dealers and collectors, he had placed many along the way. That plus his great eye for quality toning made a perfect combination for finding the best of the best. He could talk coins for hours on end and anyone who knew him always spoke kindly of him. He is very fondly missed! This piece is a well known coin among toned Morgan Dollar enthusiasts "Stars and Stripes Forever" it is the finest toned 1885-P I have ever seen. Rim to rim, very bright toning with an extremely vivid textile pattern that helps make the eye appeal off the charts.....

1882-S $1 MS67 PCGS #7140

"Grease Lightning". What a great character coin! I acquired this Morgan Dollar from my friend and top of the line coin dealer Bonnie Sabel. Bonnie has handled many top pop and amazing toned coins with this piece being absolutely one of those. This Morgan appears to have been positioned in the original mint bag directly on the seam with the loose threads spiralling across the neck of Liberty and one strand curling up through the eye. This amazing type of toning associated with the threads is very rare and I have only seen it a few other times.....

1887 $1 MS66+ PCGS #7172

I picked this coin, a former Battle Creek hoard coin for my final Morgan Dollar in this group because it is my signature coin that we call "Aurora Borealis". Which in fact we also call my collection. This coin`s amazing and so pleasing eye appeal and beauty, it`s another Morgan I acquired from the late Mike DeFalco whom dealt with some of the finest Battle Creek Coins. In 2005 the no longer in business Superior Galleries had a series of auctions that had the finest Morgans from that hoard and Mike was one of the top dealers whom purchased many of those Morgan`s for his own inventory.....
