Celebrating Apollo 11 Around the Globe
In addition to celebrating the 50th Anniversary of being the first to set foot on the Moon on July 1969, a number of Countries around the globe struck coins commemorating this important history-making mission to the Moon.
Two of the U.S. coins are hand-signed and add considerable value to this beautiful collection: the 2019-D half-dollar is signed by Fred Maise, Apollo 13 Astronaut, and the 2019-P dollar is signed by Buzz Aldrin, Apollo 11 Astronaut.
Joining in the celebration are coins from Ascencion Island, Australia, Austria, Barbados, Belgium, Cameroon, Cook Islands, Egypt, France, Fujairah, Gabon, Gibraltar, Greece, Guinea, Isle of Man, Marshall Islands, Niue, Republic of Liberia, Sahara, Switzerland, Turks Caicos, Yemen, and Zambia
