Chartered Members of the United Nations - Continent of South America (TYPE UNSPECIFIED)

描述: The idea was to collect a coin (unspecified) from every FREE Nation on the Globe. Yet actual control and borders of many nations are always in question. The simplest criterion seemed to be that the country be recognition by the United Nations General Assembly. That means that today (Sept. 2024) there are 193 official members to the U.N. and two states recognized by that body but not members,The Holy See (The Vatican) and Palestine. That brings the total to 195 official recognized countries in the world today. There are at least an additional 76 Territories and Protectorates in the world that are not free governed and are not included in this list. (Perhaps that is best left for another day.)
To make the collection easier to view and manage I have broken it down into six subcategories based on what are known as the geographic continents. This section is the Continent of South America.
