2001-S Clad Half Dollar PR69DCAM: Capitol Visitor Center { PCGS-3 } (May'2005) Mintage: 77,962 (proof) Nice black mirrors, though not one of the better commemorative designs with a very wordy reverse and just one top-grade proof specimen from PCGS. Omar Bradley was a US Army field commander in North Africa and Europe during WWII, commanding all ground forces invading Germany from the west. He was the fifth and last person to be promoted to General of the Army in 1950.

2018-S HalfDollar PR70DCAM: Breast Cancer Awareness { PCGS-4 } (Mar'2018) Mintage: tbd. Clad half dollar, one of a three coin set commemorating Breast Cancer Awareness, flawlessly rendered with same image as the silver dollar. Except for the unique baseball commemorative series with its unique curved coin, this is the only half dollar not to warrant its own unique design. After all, isn't that the purpose of commemoratives, to pay unique and meaningful tribute to our history and the pulse of the nation that shape all of our lives? One must wonder, is the mint just getting lazy? I can let the baseball commemorative slide because of the interesting glove/baseball 3-D rendering. But again we get the same design across three coins. Why make three coins when one would have sufficed? I fear this will be a trend that will repeat itself.
