In recognition of the 60th Anniversary of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame (NMBHOF), the United States Mint launched a special commemorative coin program that included a special basketball theme on clad half dollar, silver dollar, and gold $5 coins. During this 2020 commemorative program, PCGS was proud to partner directly with the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame to create an all-star lineup of Signature Labels with some of the biggest names in basketball, past and present, to be paired with the Basketball Hall of Fame Commemorative Coins and other coins the NMBHOF approved. So far there have been 38 different players, coaches, owners, and even the coin designer, who all took a pen to PCGS Labels to help the Hall of Fame. Sales of the coin from the U.S. Mint and proceeds from the sale of these special PCGS Labels will directly benefit the Hall. Collect one of each player’s Signature Labels to complete this set on any coin with which they are paired.

There are different weights based on if the signer is in the Hall of Fame or was on the 1992 World Champion Team known as “The Dream Team,” etc. This set is a work in progress.
