The Eliasberg complete basic set of Barber dimes, quarters, and halves was fabulous. His branch mint coins were fantastic, as many of them were purchased JM Clapp and his son, John, directly from the mints in the year of issue. Louis Eliasberg acquired these incredible coins when he purchased the entire Clapp collection intact in 1942. The set includes power coins in spectacular grades, including the 1894-O dime in MS66, the 1901-S quarter in MS67, and the 1913-S quarter in MS 67. Eliasberg had proof examples of the Philadelphia Mint issues, but assuming he had nice examples of those two, his set of Barber coins was certainly of the finest ever assembled.
