Lincoln Cents Basic Set, Proof (1909-Present)

This is a great set to collect, not only because of the challenging rarity of the early dates, but because of the interesting array of finishes. From the Matte Proofs of 1909-1916 to the Satin Proofs of 1936, the Brilliant Proofs of 1936-1964, the Cameo Proofs of 1968 to date, and the recent Reverse Proofs, this set offers a nearly complete collection of the various finishes employed by our Mint on Proof coins. The fact that Proof coins were made especially for collectors (who had to pay a premium to get the coins in the first place), means that most remain in excellent condition. The toughest coins will be the 1909-VDB and the 1916, but the rest of the dates, especially the dates after 1958, should be fairly easy to obtain.
