(c. 1820) Tkn 1C Washington Double-Head VF35BN PCGS #692

An excellent example of a colonial Washington piece. The wear is even on the obverse and reverse, and the details of the coin are still very bold. This coin exhibits none of the problems that plague early copper coins except for a small amount of verdigris hidden away in a few of the letters, "ASH" to be specific. However, this does not distract the viewer from the overall quality of the coin and is not easily noticed by the casual observer. The surfaces are smooth, and there is only one nick on the reverse in front of Washington's head. Sharpness VF35 net VF30 average plus, as the coin only suffers from honest wear.
