关于此套币: B1 Reverse Hub is known as Long Arrow Varieties. On April 16th, San Francisco mint received ten morgan B-1 Die pair from Philadelphia. The 10 Die pair were prepared & hardened and it was determined that only 8 Rev & 5 Obv could be used for the mint process. . The SF Mint start date of the nine B1 reverse Long Arrow Shaft varieties was scheduled for April 17, 1878. The mint workers determined that the 78-S Vam 60 to be polished up used for the presentation strike ceremony scheduled for 3 o’clock in front of ten dignitaries which included J. Gus Burt. Ultimately, there were less than 1000 Vam 60’s minted as the reverse failed because the dies were poorly prepared. The central shaft of the arrows protrudes past the end of the feathers. This is sometimes referred to as the "Long Nock". There are nine known varieties consist of marriages of the surviving five obverse and Eight reverse dies. There are Four B-1 mint progression series: 1) Vam 60, Vam 57 Stage B 1 through 3, Vam 26 stage B 1 & 2, remarriage Vam 57 Stage B 4 & 5; 2) Vam 58, Vam 56 & 62; 3) Vam 27A & Vam 27; 4) Vam 72, Vam 59. LVA In 2015 split Vam 27 into Vam 27A& Vam 27.
So there are now ten but PCGS doesn’t attribute the vam 27A.
