关于此套币: The 1921-S Vam 1B Thorn Head OB went through 11 known Die states. The first of this unique variety
( thornheads ) sequence was first discoved in 1978 by Martin Field. The SF mint workers saw that
Rather obvious large horizontal die gouge on the OB Phrygian cap near the fold.
It’s increadable to believe that 11 separate sequences & OB Die damage/polish repairs to a single morgan die
Pair happen by chance.
Attempts to remove by repair/polishing, created thirteen OB & two Rev die gouges that
Can be seen over the 11 (if you count 1B6 A that PCGS doesn’t attribute) Thorn Head sequences.
(There is at least one more unique Thorn number 12 in the series.
It is now attributed as a 1B4bC on (www.vamworld.com) who has a Rev that has the horizontal die gouge at E-D previously
Listed for only 1B5-7 but Don’t see other gouge at TF of 1B5. So, this one is earliest Die state of E-D gouge. It’s currently in a PCGS 50 holder.)
