CAC - ex Larry Shapiro This 3cs silver is so beautiful. The coin itself is very dark but at the right angles the color shines through. This coin exhibits all the great properties of a toned 3cs piece. Legend Auction says A glowing, watery mirrored GEM Proof. Iridescent blues, pale greens, pale orange, and rose gold comes out when rotated in a light. Sharply struck and frosted devices stand out. The eye appeal is great.
“The Spot” CAC - This coin is truly special. It exhibits beautiful blues and reds that are extremely bright and visible from very far away. Truly a gem.

"Splatter Bomb" ex. Gil This coin has very beautiful toning. The obverse being completely toned and the reverse having little to no toning truly makes this coin special. This coin is very bright and struck very nicely. Little to no wear is seen on this coin.

“Radiation Hazard” ex. Sommelier Collection Extremely beautiful toning on this piece. It shows major pops of red and blue in the center of both the obverse and reverse. Truly a beautifully toned piece. Legend Auction says: This is one of those coins that will burn its impression in your mind and you won't be able to forget it! Its visual allure is truly spectacular. A strong, beaming luster radiates all over. Both sides are awash in a classic aqua-teal and cobalt blue tone with dazzling tangerine-gold in the centers. Every detail is sharply struck up from a late obverse die state. There is a major crack from the rim to the left of the date, riding up into the shield and there are a number of tiny rim cuds along the periphery. The eye appeal is excellent.
"Electric Blue Living" CAC - This coin shows great character. The obverse being completely toned in this lovely blue with a hint of red in the center is truly one of a kind. The reverse has no toning whatsoever making this coin truly opposite. Legend Auction says: With only seven coins graded higher by PCGS, this PQ, beautifully toned GEM is a great collector coin. Rich teal, azure, rose, and amber-gold toning blanket the obverse of this well struck coin. A bold satin frost blooms on both sides.
The obverse and reverse is adorned by lovely blue toning with hints of red orange and a sort of lime greenish color throughout. This coin features a very strong cameo look but it is not designated as so.
A lovely example, a coin that would have been graded a GEM in the old days. Flashy mirrored fields gleam boldly highlighting the totally original and glorious colors. The eye appeal is far beyond what is typically seen at this grade!
"Into the Swirl" ex. D.L Hansen This stellar proof dime is covered in an exquisite array of blue tones. Aqua colors take over the center of the reverse. The aqua color on the obverse is vivid, it fades into a darker more royal blue towards the date. This coin has a lot of character considering the price which was not to expensive. Truly a gem of a coin and in my personal opinion one of the most nicely toned ones for the year.
“Electric Blues” Superbly toned obverse and reverse. The obverse is covered in beautiful red and pink haze in the center surrounded by a blue border that fades from a blue to a very nice light blue. The reverse is almost the same but the reds are much more vivid and it the blue fades from a dark royal blue to the very nice light blue haze.
Superb album toning graces this 1920 standing liberty which also received a full head designation because this coin probably sat in an album after its short run in circulation.

"Acapulco Gold" Beautiful coin exhibiting very nice sporadic toning. Many colors are displayed across this coin mostly on the rims. I like to think this is a mosh pit of color, because the many different colors that are visible on the coin.
GOLD CAC Heritage says: The highly sought Gold CAC label indicates this sharp and original Overton-103 example is deserving of an even finer grade. This Choice coin is struck from a heavily clashed die state, with the peripheral elements drawn to the edges, extensive die wear, and a heavy die line from the scroll to the left (facing) wing. Forest-green and bluish-gray toning yields to golden luster at the borders that adds extra eye appeal to this ultimate, collector-grade O-103.

Key date? Perfect circ cam? This 15/2 is just lovely. There are better examples out there of course but this coin was perfect for my set.
Beautiful orange color with hints of blue around it. Luster and details are immense for an XF45.
Tons of rolling luster accompanied by a vivid cobalt blue wrapping the obverse and reverse. Hints of reds and light blues are also present. Marks in left obverse field very distracting, if those marks were not there it would be MS.
PCGS did this coin dirty with these awful true views!! Very nice color. Ex NGC AU55 as well ;(
CAC- The luster on this 1827 is crazy considering the grade. Bright flashy luster hits you and with the toning this coin is a wonderful example of the Square Base 2.

The luster on this coin is superb knowing how many 1832 small letters tone. This is a great coin combined with the blue arc toning from another coin laying on top.
"SoDiDos" Wonderfully toned obverse and reverse. Featuring bright rolling luster, the obverse features an orange red haze, with prominent light blues, darker blues, and purple hues. The reverse is dominated by the same orange red haze with the rim being a darkish blue in some areas with a what I would describe as mint green? (bottom left on the reverse).
Paradime says: Wildly toned Reeded Edge Capped Bust Half Dollar, 1837 50c is one of the only readily available dates for the 50 Cents Reverse and type without doubling or tripping the budget. With a stunning design, this coin shows eye popping peripheral hues. With deeper red centers that transitions to purple, ocean-blue, sky-blue, yellow and others, this is a great coin to have in a collection. Seldom do we find this date and type with collectors in circulated condition, save for a comparable AU55 PCGS CAC that sold for $1,920 04/22 ST. The present example colors and toning far exceeds the that of the CAC, though the originality of that example is superior. In hand this coin is absolutely pops. Wildly toned Capped Bust half have gained tremendous popularity and this will draw huge numbers of interest.
“Blazing Sunset” Superbly toned obverse and reverse both start as a light blue haze and fade into darker blues and purple. Very nice orange/red colors crowd the center of this coin. Legend Auction says: Classic old time collection toning graces the surfaces of this watery-reflective near-GEM. Azure and rich orange toning is enlivened by the reflective brilliance of the mirrored fields. The devices are sharply rendered and the eye appeal on this near-GEM Civil War year half dollar is excellent. We do not know why CAC did not approve it, we like the look a lot!
“Skittle” This coin is truly a rainbow. I call it a skittle coin, although it has many hairline scratches the color is truly like no other. This coin was most likely wrapped in cellophane with other coins.
Very lightly toned light blue proof. But the color is a nice aqua which is rare.
“Galaxy” Extremely nice high grade proof. Beautiful blue toning on the obverse. The reverse has almost galaxy like toning, with blues and small hints of red. The color is truly spectacular under light.
“The 4th of July” ex. D.L. Hansen Collection This coin exhibits very beautiful firework like toning. Truly a gem proof, beautiful reds and blues pop on the obverse and reverse of this coin.
“Blue Dream” CAC Legend Auctions says: A GEM of the first order, this is a deeply, richly, and originally toned beauty. Wonderfully variegated blue and crimson-rose patina is enlivened by a bold underlying flashy, reflective brilliance. Sharply struck devices are bold. What a great looking coin for the collector.
“Lavender Haze” Heritage says: Lovely cobalt-blue, lavender, and golden-gray toning forms concentric bands around each side of this Select proof 1882 Seated half dollar. The strike is sharp, and any grade-limiting lines the fields are well-masked by the rich patina. A tiny lump of metal appears just to the left of the base of the 1 in the date.
“ Lemon Blue” Heritage says: Lemon-gold and ocean-blue borders encompass dusky peach centers. The strike is intricate, and neither the fields nor devices show any evidence of contact. WB-102 is the misplaced date variety, with the tops of two digits lurking the dentils between the 18 and 88.

“The Apricot” CAC - ex. Sommelier Collection This coin is deeply toned and this coin in hand is very dark, the toning does shine through though. Legend Auctions says: Rich and magnificent! A borderline GEM Proof that boasts a majestic melange of teal, violet, amber, tangerine, and apricot toning. The mirrors are watery and are moderate, the rich, deep toning somewhat subduing the vibrance. The surfaces are smooth and ultra sleek with a great eye appeal overall. WOW.
“Fire and Ice “This coin exhibits beautiful fire and ice toning on the obverse and a very light but prevalent toning. Truly a gem. This was purchased a coin show in an OGH I immediately re-holdered it because the colors on this coin are so bright and shine right through. In hand the orange color looks much more red.
"The American Warrior" Insanely toned $2.5 Indian. Superb rim toning is present on the obverse. The reverse is covered in toned spots.
This coin in hand looks like small copper round. The gold has toned so much it has turned a dark brown.
This coin is truly a gem, even being a details coin it is a true rarity. It is very bright and extremely reflective. With only 89 originally minted, only 60 are estimated to have survived.

Heritage says: The 1937 Roanoke half dollar may be readily collectible in Superb Gem condition, and there are even a number of coins at that level that boast CAC approval, but few could match the extraordinary eye appeal that this piece possesses. Purple, cherry-red, and orange toning covers all but Sir Walter Raleigh's portrait. Remnants of an old partial print appear over the left reverse. Lustrous and fully struck. Legend says: This is a STUNNING and beautifully toned SUPERB GEM Roanoke, an old friend of ours, having sold in our May 2017 Regency Auction, where it was described as: "Talk about a beautiful coin! According to our consignor, who is a specialist in exceptional quality commems, this Roanoke graced the cover of an old Superior auction catalog around 15 years ago. One glance at the dramatic blues, reds, violets, and golds, you will certainly understand why! A strong luster provides a backlight to the colors and frames the boldly struck devices. "Lemon Haze" Sheridan says : From the Doug Noblet Collection. Soft grey toning with golden highlights. Dots on the right wing are toning spots. Complete, sharp dentils and 13 stars with center-points are a plus. A thin hairline between stars 3 and 4 is a minor distraction.
Extremely dramatic toning on this 1818! Super nice red, blues, yellow, and oranges grace the obverse. The reverse has beautiful rim toning.
"Whitman Rings" Insane ring toning around the obverse and reverse this is some of the most vivid toning I have seen on a coin.
A beautifully toned AU55 example with bold greens, blues, and golds throughout. A sharp strike shows very bold definition and the details are very frosty with a rich satin glow when viewed in a light. The eye appeal is exceptional.
PCGS did this one dirty with the photo, in hand the coin is a vibrant blue and red on the obverse and reverse.
CAC- This coin is super flashy with very pretty album toning, lovely bust half and a great edition to the 55+ set.
CAC O-121, R-3. Extremely attractive color! Blues and golds mix over surfaces that show ample luster for the grade.
One of my favorite bust halves of all time, crossed from an NGC fatty this bust half is a stunner. Oranges, reds, blues combined together with flashy luster this coin is a true gem piece.
Basically unseen perfect aqua color on this half. I love the circulated cameo look and this coin emulates that perfectly.

Although this coin being a designated plugged coin, I think repaired or tooled grade fits much better. The repair of the coin is on the top right of the obverse specifically around the ER. This job is very reminiscent of a 70s restoration job. Otherwise this coin is extremely nice. Very nice with original luster.

“Into the Mulitverse” ex. Bob R. Simpson Collection This coin is truly a gem. Being a very rare copper proof with this beautiful red and blue toning that shines through the coin and is visible without bright light. Legend Auction says: An incredible and technicolored GEM example of this transitional pattern half dollar. Pairing the regular 1863 Proof obverse with a with Motto reverse, as adopted in 1866, this coin is struck in copper with a reeded edge. A low Rarity-7, there are 7-12 examples known in all grades, of which this is one of the very FINEST. Ultra reflective, incredibly well preserved mirrors are glassy and flashy. The fields are essentially without flaw. The intensity of the flashy mirrors bring out the swirling blend of cherry-red with violet and azure accents, giving this GEM an exquisite look. WOW.
