Self Submitted Aug 2018. Bright silver beginning to tone with red-orange tone to peripheral legend. Rayner rated as Scarce.
Smooth and silky brown surfaces with a hint of blue on the reverse. Now it gets interesting but typical for a milled coin. Most of the lettering is distorted in one way or another, but Charles III? There seems to be an extra one with a full stop in the middle of the extra I.
Self-Submitted, Apr 2016. Even brown toning to both sides. Rayner rated as Scarce.
ACSB, Aug 2018. Stunning little gem! Great detail on this early milled coin. Will be a hard one to top.
Self-Submitted, Apr 2016. Smoothing detail with even brown toning. Obverse: ROI of Carolvs cut off, DEI obscured w/D deformed by a ridge of metal, Upside Down G of GRATIA, Dropped A and wide T I in Gratia. Reverse: FRA mis aligned, I & B of HIB w/Spiked Upper starts, Misformed E and spiked X of REX. Rayner rated as Rare.
Self-Submitted, Apr 2016. Unusual strike for sure. Lettering on obverse and reverse is very distorted and broken. Too numerous to list. Questionable oversized planchet or a die slip that stretched the rim. Would need a professional opinion on what happened with this piece. Rayner rated as Rare.
Self-Submitted, Apr 2016. Toning out to a golden brown with some of the original patina shining through. Overse: DEI GRATIA unreadable due to distortion. Reverse: Off Center, MAG Stop BR stop FRA runs off planchet, letters also very distorted, extra metal obliterates HIB. Rayner rated as Scarce.
XF Details - Tooled, but genuine. Need to find a better example for the Registry.
