Baden 5 Mark Complete Set, Circulation Strikes (1874-1913)

The Baden 5 Mark pieces are large, impressive coins that represented the largest silver denomination issued by the German States. Because of economic conditions at the time, few of these coins (with the exception of the commemorative issues of 1902, 1906, and 1907) were saved by collectors. Thus, superb quality examples are the exception rather than the rule. Most dates are readily available, but with only two examples known, the 1874-G 5 Mark is the true key to this denomination.
