This set began in 2005 as I bought a few graded Saints as bullion coins. Soon the bug got it's teeth in me and I added a few of the tougher dates but in lower grades. I was "accosted" by Jay Brahin at FUN and introduced to the world of serious Saint collectors. My mentor became Steve Duckor who reviewed my collection and made firm but fair observations and recommendations. Now the set is complete but not finished. I will never match the top sets assembled, but I will keep striving to improve this set. I am fortunate to be the guardian of these beautiful coins for a short period of time. I continue to search for upgrades for this spectacular set. Over 39 of the coins are now CAC or tied for finest known..

I retract my comments on purchasing the 1927-D $20. You bought my old 1927-D $20 I bought in 1984 and sold at the Price Sale in May of 1998. You bought it at FUN 2014. It was just crossed to PCGS 65+. Its original, great luster and color! Congrats. You now have completed your Saint collection. Work on upgrading a few of your coins like the 1931-D, 1913, and the 1920-S.You have done a great job in putting together a world class set!!!
Good to see you at the ANA in Chicago! Congrats on buying the 1911-D in PCGS 67 and my old 1907 W.E. high relief PCGS 67 ex Akers/Duckor. You are on you way to putting together a tremendous set! Forget a 1927-D and go for a 1920-S in PCGS 65 and a 1921 in 64/65, sd
