The Eliasberg set of 1839 to 1857 “with varieties” large cents is of mixed quality. The set is not quite complete as some currently recognized varieties were not very well known in Eliasberg’s day. The set does have several very high graded coins, but for some reason the Eliasberg Large Cents, while very nice, did not quite match the spectacular quality of his silver and gold coins.
