关于此套币: This all started when I was reintroduced to my first love -- coins. In my youth, Mercury dimes were scarce to get in pocket change, but you still could get them. I will never forget the Christmas sales job when I was young, when I turned to the register to ring up a sale and found 22 Mercs in the change drawer, most uncirculated. This was in the 1970s. I couldn't pay for them fast enough. Best $2.20 I ever spent.

As much as Roosevelt was a great president, the dime with his portrait was (and is) a lesser coin than a Merc.

I always thought Mercs were so much more aesthetically pleasing, much as Standing Liberty Quarters are "prettier" than any Barber coin ever made.
