Mystery Mint Silver Eagle silver dollar.
One Duit. Prior to the American Revolution and the 1776 Declaration of Independence, New York city was in British hands but it still retained much of its Dutch influence from the 1600s when it was a Dutch colony. There were no national coins in America at this time, so people in New York used whatever coins they could find. Most of the copper coins came from Europe, including the copper Duit from Holland. Because of its size and composition, the Duit was known as a penny and is renowned as the first New York penny. The Duit was struck between 1726 and 1794 at several different locations in Holland. It was issued by the Dutch East India company, which was one of the world's largest businesses in the 1700s and owned extensive commercial ventures in India and southeast asia. The initials "VOC" on one side of the coin stand for "Dutch East India company." The other side shows the coat of arms of the Dutch province where the coin was struck.

U.S. 1923 Washington one dollar silver Certificate (blue seal). (Horse Blanket). The series 1923 $1 Silver Certificate was the last large sized U.S. $1 bill. It measures about 7-3/8 by 3-1/8 inches, or about 50 percent larger than today's paper currency. Due to its large size, this bill was known as a "Horse Blanket." Each series of 1923 $1 Silver Certificate was backed by an actual silver dollar that was deposited in the U.S. Treasury. The bearer of the note was allowed, by law, to exchange it on demand at the Treasury for the silver dollar. The current silver dollar at the time of issue was the Peace design, which was first issued in 1921. The "horse blanket" $1 Silver Certificate was eventually replaced with a small sized note in the series of 1928. During it's short lifespan, this Silver Certificate circulated along with other types of paper currency such as U.S. notes and Federal Reserve Bank Notes. The series of 1923 $1 Silver Certificate features a blue Treasury seal and blue serial numbers on the front, along with a portrait of George Washington that was based on a portrait by American artist Gilbert Stuart. Treasurer 1923: Frank White.

1935 E Washington dollar silver certificate (blue seal) "No Motto" collection. During the Civil War, Congress mandated that "In God We Trust" must appear on the nations currency but not all coins and banknotes were quick to adopt the motto. The series 1935 $1 Silver Certificate was one of the last U.S. bank notes without the motto "In God We Trust," which was later added to the back design. The Buffalo nickel, minted from 1913-1938, was the last U.S. coin without the motto; The Jefferson nickel, which replaced it in 1938, was the first nickel to include the motto. Both "No Motto" items originally date to the great depression era of the 1930's. Treasurer: Ivy Baker Priest.
