Formerly in an ANACS "Black Beauty" Slab, this coin has exceptional mint luster.
I have no idea why PCGS felt this coin had been cleaned other than the myriad of die polish that resides in the fields.
This is a Type B Reverse Washington. Type B reverses were intended for Proof Coin Production.
Nice Full Rims with a minimum of distracting marks in the field. Jusr barely an MS66 but finding clean examples with Full Rims can be quite challenging.
Wow! Subtle yet distinct doubling on this coin. The motto for the 1976-S 40% Kennedy Dollar is always so mushy compared to the rest of the coin which makes this DDO difficult to locate!

This is a DDO coin pulled from a roll. Unfortunately, PCGS currently does not attribute these at this point in time.
Nice Mint Set Coin as indicated by the packaging marks on the reverse shield.
Not too sure about this one. The cheek and shield are clean but the coin has an overall rough look to it. Perhaps from an older die set?
The Die cracks on the reverse nearly encircle the entire outer ring of stars. The crack is so bad that the coin has a convexed appearance on the Reverse!
The luster in this particular piece overshadows any of the field marks.
High luster, relatively clear field except for a planchet flaw on the right obv field and some chicken scratching on the right rev fields. Other than that a good strong MS65 Coin.
Not a true MS60 in my opinion but given the weakness of the strike this is vey difficult to judge.

While Filled dies can be common on lessor sized coins, finding these on these large IKE Dolars can be a challenge,
Not the best grade but then for 1972 Denver Clips are not that common and a double clip was even better. Throw in a Stage C Far Double Talon on the Obverse and we've got a winner.
1% Clip at 10 o'clock on a Mint Set Only coin. “P” Mintmarks are much more scarcer than any “D” Mintmark clipped planchet Ikes.
Being a Mint Set ONLY coin, the 1973 Eisenhower is unusual to have any type of mint defects at all. This strike through kinda "slipped" through!
A 5% Clipper! Purchased from Harry Keese at a Colorado Springs, CO Coin Show in 2006 after some gentle persuasion to remove it from his Capital Plastics Type Set Display. Why keep a broken coin in there anyway??
Originally in an NGC Slab. This is a nice 20% Clip (Incomplete Planchet). Nice Blakesless Effect opposite the missing portion of the Planchet. Clips this large are very uncommon and usually demand hefty premiums!
Originally in an NGC Slab. This is a nice 5% Straight Clip (Incomplete Planchet). Strong Blakesless Effect opposite the missing portion of the Planchet! Straight Clips are created when the blank punch overlaps either the end of the clading strip or the edge of the clading strip. For Eisenhower Dollars they are quite unusual IMO.
Straight Clips are scarce on Eisenhower Dollars which is why I could not resist tha particular coin when it was offered. Severe scratches on the Reverse prevent the coin from ever grading but the scarcity of the Error Type is why I had it slabbed.

Nice example of Improper Annealing which creates the dark sintering on the coins surface. Originally purchased from Teletrade as an unattributed Error coin at a vary reasonable price.
Talon Heads are uncommon to find on 1978-D Eisenhowers and this coin is a fine example.

1970-D DDR FS-801. Available in US Mint Sets but this coin was purchased from James Wiles.

This coin was originally an ANACS AU55 (Old Small Holder) which has very strong luster so I'm a bit confused over the AU-50 grade.
Fully Lustrous Coin with only the SLIGHTEST hint of wear on the vertical ridge of the cheek Folks. What this means, is you have to really look hard to find any trace of wear.
The 1971-S PegLeg 40% Silver Eisenhower is considered rare by many IKE Collectors. This coin was purchased as I've never found one in the thousands I have searched. High grade examples are even rarer to locate since 1971 was the inaugural year for these coins. As an added bonus, this particular Die Variety is a DDO coin (DDO-007)
Beautiful Example of the RDV-006 Eisenhower Dollar (Dec 1999 Errorscope) and recently written about in the July 2007 Numismatist as the Freindly Eagle Pattern Eisenhower Dollar. Hard to find in this particular grade.
