Rare Coins of New Hampshire, thanks Warren!... Was POP 1 when purchased in November 2021, and now is POP 2 which shows there's interest in lower graded coins of this series...
MADE POP 1 Lowest Graded. This coin has a long history! Bought raw and PCGS graded Ag Details "Scratched", broke out and ANACS Graded Fr2 Details "Scratched", Broke out and NGC would not grade it a DDO, saying; "Too worn to grade a DDO"! So, NGC graded it straight grade (No Scratch); "Mint Error Fr2 BN Rotated Dies". The Obverse "Scratch" is there, but really not so prominent that dictates a "Details" holder; accordingly, the last 2 grades by both NGC and PCGS finally got this right... This is clearly an 1867 Doubled Die according to many experts including Kevin Flynn's book that shows a very good picture of the Left Arrow's trailing edge point doubling! Since this area is slightly protected, it is the only pick up point once wear has erased the "In God We Trust" motto which is doubled. This doubled die is one of the nicer doubled dies out there, and still Cherry Pickable!
