Mexican 8 Reales Hermosillo Mint Basic Set, Circulation Strikes (1861-1895)

The Hermosillo Mint was located in the capital city of the Mexican State of Sonora. The first legal Hermosillo Cap and Rays 8 Reales were issued in 1861 but illegal issues appeared in 1835, 1836, and 1839 (we've excluded those from this set). Virtually all of the dates prior to 1867 are rare and almost impossible to find in high grade. After 1866, the rarity drops and the quality improves. As with most coins of this type, this series is replete with interesting varieties.
