The San Luis Potosi Mint was located in the capital city of the Mexican State of San Luis Potosi. The SLP Mint began production of Cap & Rays 8 Reales in 1827 and continued with minor interruptions until 1893. This series contains several important rarities, making it one of the most difficult Mints to complete. Nevertheless, a high percentage of the dates are obtainable in nice condition. So...if you're looking for a series that will challenge you for a lifetime, this is it.
