1794 C1a Liberty Cap half cent, Large Edge Letters, R3. This is the front-line example for the Furnace Run PCGS Registry Set of US half cents from 1793 to 1857 by Cohen Variety. This coin has been authenticated and graded by PCGS as VF30, and it is an original chocolate brown example with nice eye appeal and a "crusty" look that is very attractive. M3.0, clashed at lips and chin and left of HC reverse. The large edge letters are plainly visible thanks to the edgeview holder. This is a coin that looks much better in hand, and the details are certainly much sharper than in my photos. My EAC grade VF20+. Ex-Shawn A. Yancey #8841; Furnace Run Collection.
