1795 C5b Liberty Cap half cent, Plain Edge No Pole Thick Planchet, R4. This is the front-line example for the Furnace Run PCGS Registry Set of US half cents from 1793 to 1857 by Cohen Variety. This coin has been authenticated and graded by PCGS as G6. Glossy medium tan brown with nice eye appeal. The date which is always weak on this variety and looks gone in my photos can actually be made out if you rotate under a light. There are a couple of tiny contact marks visible on each side but overall this is a decent example and certainly acceptable for the G6 grade level. Only one die state; reverse cracks from LDS C4.
