1795 C1 Liberty Cap half cent, Lettered Edge, R2. This is the front-line example for the Furnace Run PCGS Registry Set of US half cents from 1793 to 1857 by Cohen Variety. This coin has been authenticated and graded by PCGS as VF25, and it has outstanding medium tan brown color and great eye appeal. The only defects are some tiny well-hidden nicks above IBE on the obverse. Well-centered and well-struck, so darn attractive, and what stands out to me is that I rarely see this tan brown color on this variety. Sharp early die state M1.0 with no trace of the bulge that later develops at AME. Shawn A. Yancey #8869; Furnace Run Collection.
