1797 C3a Liberty Cap half cent, Low Head with Plain Edge, R3. This is the front-line example for the Furnace Run PCGS Registry Set of US half cents from 1793 to 1857 by Cohen Variety. This coin has been authenticated and graded by PCGS as F15, and this is a lovely example. GREAT color, surfaces, and eye appeal. Sharp early die state M1.0 with full denticles on the obverse and the light die crack just starting at the chin. The color is very nice, lighter in person, and there are very few signs of contact on either side. My EAC grade is F12+ and certainly PLUS. Ex-Tom Reynolds; Shawn A.
