Although the 1795 Small Eagle has had more auction appearances, this is the most common pre-1800 Half Eagle. However, the 1798 Large 8, 13 Stars is more rare than any of the other dates of this type from 1800-1807 with the sole exception of the underrated 1806 Pointed 6. Uncirculated examples are occasionally available although VF and EF are the typically seen grades.PCGS #
