1804 C10 Draped Bust half cent, Crosslet 4 with Stems, R1. This is the front-line example for the Furnace Run PCGS Registry Set of US half cents from 1793 to 1857 by Cohen Variety. This coin has been authenticated and graded by PCGS as MS61RB, and this is in fact the ONLY Red-Brown coin certified by PCGS and there are NO full Red coins! Gorgeous, original mint red with even color and details on both sides. There appears to be a die cutter's error on the reverse at UN and I believe that PCGS mistook that for a scratch, otherwise this is likely to be graded even higher. M2.0 with light clash marks below the curls beneath the ribbons, and the reverse still showing denticles at ERICA. Truly an exceptional example due to the abundance of mint red, which never comes on this variety and the reason why this coin stands alone as the one and only RB graded by PCGS.
