1804 C11 Draped Bust half cent, Plain 4 With Stems, R3. This is the front-line example for the Furnace Run PCGS Registry Set of US half cents from 1793 to 1857 by Cohen Variety. This coin has been authenticated and graded by PCGS as EF45, and this is a nice, high-grade example of the toughest Redbook variety for 1804. Dark chocolate brown glossy surfaces with bold details, although a glass does reveal some teeny tiny nicks that are mainly limited to the obverse. Great color and eye appeal, and very sharp and somewhat well-struck for the variety. M2.0 with vertical obverse die scratch visible in left field, and clear weakness at ribbon bows on the reverse.
