1804 C2 Draped Bust half cent, Crosslet 4 with Stems, R6. This is the front-line example for the Furnace Run PCGS Registry Set of US half cents from 1793 to 1857 by Cohen Variety. This coin has been authenticated and graded by PCGS as PR/FR details, tooled. The coin is AG3 with even medium brown glossy surfaces on both sides, but with some light scratches on the portrait. The low 4 is plainly visible, as is the die crack through the top of RTY upward from Y to rim, M1.0, which makes attribution pretty darn simple. This is one of the rarest varieties in the half cent series, solid R6, and I believe this is the first and only 1804 C2 that I have offered for sale on my website. These are VERY expensive so this low-grade example might be one of the most "affordable" that you will find. My EAC grade AG3 net FR2 and just slightly below average, although the good color and glossy surfaces sure help offset the minor defects. Ex-CVM; Shawn A. Yancey #12086; Furnace Run Collection.
