1804 C5 Draped Bust half cent, Spiked Chin, R4. This is the front-line example for the Furnace Run PCGS Registry Set of US half cents from 1793 to 1857 by Cohen Variety. This coin has been authenticated and graded by PCGS as EF45, and CAC-certified as CHOICE for the assigned grade. The color is exceptional on this piece, a rich dark chocolate brown with really nice eye appeal. That color is lighter in person, and the coin just has a really nice "look" about it. Bold details on both sides with no marks to speak of. This is an R4 variety that is really tough to find in higher grades, and this is a lovely example.
