1805 C3 Draped Bust half cent, Small 5 With Stems, R4. This is the front-line example for the Furnace Run PCGS Registry Set of US half cents from 1793 to 1857 by Cohen Variety. This coin has been authenticated and graded by PCGS as VG10. Medium brown color and average surfaces showing only the faintest signs of contact. Very solid and even for the grade, should be EAC VG8. This is the more common of the two Small 5 With Stems varieties, but both are rare and command significant premiums as Redbook varieties.
