The 1805 O-105a Half Dollar is an impressive variety because it already comes with a retained cud at ATE of STATES, plus it has an additonal crack through the tops of ITE of UNITED.  This is a rare variety in any state of the dies, whether as O-105 or O-105a.  Overton listed both as Rarity 4 in his third edition, but the current thinking is that the O-105 is a Rarity 5 and that the O-105a is slightly rarer. 

As rare as this variety is, it is surprisingly inexpensive.  The price record for this variety, according to Steve Herrman's recording of auction prices realized for Bust Half Dollars, is only $1,495.  Most examples are well-worn and none are known above Extremely Fine.
