1806 C3 Draped Bust half cent, Small 6 With Stems, R4. This is the front-line example for the Furnace Run PCGS Registry Set of US half cents from 1793 to 1857 by Cohen Variety. This coin has been authenticated and graded by PCGS as Good Detail, Environmental Damage. This coin actually has solid VG details that are even stronger on the reverse. Dark steel brown with some obvious shallow pitting on the obverse; the reverse is much stronger and free from the corrosion. The 1806 C3 is one of the stoppers to the draped bust Cohen varieties, and this example was the duplicate of David Consolo. Appears to be an early die state, M1.0 with no trace of crack at ICA, although that crack could be obscured by roughness in that area. My EAC grade is VG8/10 net G6 and Average-.
