1806 C1 Draped Bust half cent, Small 6 No Stems, R1. This is the front-line example for the Furnace Run PCGS Registry Set of US half cents from 1793 to 1857 by Cohen Variety. This coin has been authenticated and graded by PCGS as MS61BN, and CAC-certified as CHOICE for the assigned grade. This coin was actually crossed over from an NGC MS62BN holder. Certainly MS60 details but I do see a tiny, well-hidden nick right behind the ear, plus some minor as-struck planchet roughness around the northwest portion of HALF on the reverse. Subdued luster covers both sides and the color is a rich chocolate brown with some golden luster underneath Purchased from Aspen Park Rare Coins in 2011 for $2125 as NGC MS62BN; Furnace Run Collection.
