O-105, Rarity 1. From Bowers and Merena 11/21, 2008 Auction. From the Gladstone Collection. It is difficult for us to imagine a more attractive example of the Draped Bust, Large Eagle Half Dollar at the AU grade level. Otherwise silver-tinged surfaces are accented with mottled blushes of orange-apricot iridescence here and there at the denticles. Direct angles reveal virtually intact mint luster in a bright, radiant, satin-to-semi-PL sheen. Both sides are a bit scuffy from circulation, as befits the assigned grade, but there are no sizeable or otherwise distracting abrasions. Overall boldly defined despite the presence of light wear.
