Overton 105 and Overton 105a of 1812 are fairly common varieties that can be found in high grades. The "a" designation represents a later die state with clashmarks beneath and right of enter of the reverse scroll and several obverse die cracks, including one that connects the tip of the bust with the first two stars.
We know of at least seven different Mint State examples of O-105 and O-105a combined, though several of them have appeared at auction more than once in recent years, giving the false impression that they are much more common as Uncs. The best example is the former Doug Noblet O-105a which was once in an ICG MS67 holder but which is now a PCGS MS66.
